The Benmore Challenge 2009

THR RACE HAS BEEN POSTPONED BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER.

There is too much snow on the mountain and the forecast for this weekend is terrible. The race has been postponed until January the 23/24th 2010. Ring us for more information on 0800 HELIBIKE

The Benmore Challenge downhill mountain bike race is back for 2009. For those of you who've raced it in the past, check out this old TV3 footage (kindly supplied by TV3!). How fashions and bikes have changed over the years!

The race details:

Although we wanted to include cross country and uphill options this year, public opinion has asked us to keep the old format of having the one stunning downhill helibike race so, for this year, that's what we've done. We were originally planning to hold the race in April but, due to a clash with other mountain biking events, we've shifted the date to the 9th May.
